Philosophy & Implementation Markets Are Efficient: IndexStreet believes the market is efficient and that no single investor can consistently beat the market through stock/bond picking and market timing. A few investors manage to beat the market over short periods of time, as people win lotteries, but it is improbable that any investor will systematically beat the market over time, as no one can continuously win the lottery. Investors must earn their returns. Risk Assessment: Asset class selection is the single greatest determinant of your risk and return. IndexStreet prescribes an asset allocation based on each investor's ability to handle risk. Eleven portfolios are available ranging from very low risk to high risk. A detailed assessment of each investor's unique financial environment is conducted via a 10-year personal income statement and balance sheet. This enables the advisor and client to identify an appropriate portfolio risk level. Low Cost: All investments being equal, a low cost alternative will outperform a higher cost alternative. IndexStreet strives to keep costs to a minimum via low management fees, low mutual fund fees and low transaction fees. Moreover, portfolios are constructed and trades are placed with taxes as a primary consideration. Account Security: Investments may go up and down in value and future value is not guaranteed. Assets are protected against errors, omissions and fraud via SIPC insurance at the following custodians: Ameritrade; Charles Schwab; TDWaterhouse; and Peoples Benefit Life. IndexStreet does not custody client accounts. Safeguards are in place at IndexStreet and IndexStreet's custodians to make sure your accounts are protected! Account Managers: All accounts are personally managed by qualified Investment Advisor Representatives who have passed NASD's Series 65 exam. Index Street Advisors, Inc. is incorporated in the State of California and is SEC registered to provide advisory services throughout the United States. Daniel E Purcell earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance at American University in Washington, DC. Rod M Turner earned a Bachelor of Science at Stanford University and an MBA at Cornell University. Performance Reports: IndexStreet provides robust cost accounting and performance reports. The portfolio software is managed in-house to provide detailed, accurate reports in a timely manner. Reports are delivered via email or snail mail according to the client's preference. IndexStreet's custodian's provide additional reports.
